Where does this flag or banner come from and what does it mean? My neighbor has three windows visible as you drive by and all three of them have a banner type flag in the window. They are about (this is a guestimated measurement as I have not gotten a very close look at them) ne foot wide and maybe one and a half foot long. They have a red border, white inside the border with a blue (it looks blue from afar) start in the center. One of them has two stars and the other two have one star. How do you make a myspace layouts? I have a site, but all the layouts I think are LAME! Or, they just have huge banners in the top left corner which I can't stand.

Funny "Welcome Freshmen" Banner? What do you think of my idea for a Republican rock video? It would start out with a shot of a bunch of toilet stalls, each occupied by a Republican senator tapping his feet in a catchy rhythmn. George Bush walks on stage in a flight suit while the camera moves back to show a “Mission Accomplished” banner hanging over the toilet stalls. A row of dancing policemen show the senators their badges and escort the senators and pages off the stage. Bad etiquette to clap after the national anthem? When I was in the fourth grade (1994-1995), our elementary school music teacher made us learn the national anthem (Star Spangled Banner) because we were going on a field-trip to watch an orchestra perform and they began the concert with the national anthem. When practicing, she taught us something that I have remembered to this day: it is rude to clap at the end of the national anthem. "Even if everyone around you is clapping, you shouldn't clap." It always stuck with me because ever since then I find myself adhering to her rule, but of course, EVERYONE always claps at the end of the national anthem. I don't want to seem rude by not clapping, but I want to follow the proper etiquette. I tried looking online for national anthem etiquette and all I can find is that we should stand and take off hats/caps during the song. Has anyone ever heard of the etiquette about not clapping? Is it an old rule that no one follows anymore so it's okay to break it? Comments? If you saw a banner outside a church saying "GOD DOES NOT EXIST", what would you think? This morning a group of people were standing on the corner in front of the church we attend, under a large sign that said "God Does Not Exist". They were handing out flyers for a book entitled "Away With All Gods." There were a couple police officers present. I didn't see anyone shouting or getting very upset and during the service the pastor at first made only an oblique remark about overcoming whatever obstacles to get to church. But then as he got into his sermon he stopped speaking and started crying. He insisted that God exists because he made us. At one point he said "I love those people!" It definitely effected him and the mood of the service.

I recently received the USS(Universities Superannuation Scheme) statement showing that GlaxoSmithKline, a pharmaceutical company engaging in animal research, is amongst the top five companies into which the USS invests. I wrote to the USS stating that I am unhappy to be benefiting from vivisection, and I asked them whether they think of disinvestment from this company. In their very polite reply they explained that the solicitors advised them that they are obliged to invest in a way that is in the best interest of the shareholders, and that they cannot decide entirely on ethical grounds. It was suggested that I may want to make contributions to appropriate charities, instead of relinquishing my part of the profit made from activities involving vivisection, which is what I wanted to do. Paying someone to stand outside GlaxoSmithKline with a banner protesting against animal abuse, and pocketing a part of profits made from that very activity, does not seem the answer, to me. I was also assured that no other academic raised the same concern, to the USS knowledge. Admittedly, there are parts of the academic world that actually lead the animal research, but with thousands of academics in the UK, am I really the only one who feels this way?

Why do Republicans continue to support Bush? There is plenty of evidence to support the case that he was wrong about WMD's in Iraq. Iraq had no links to Terrorist. In 2003 He stood underneath a "Mission Accomplished" Banner aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln and announced an END to major combat operations in Iraq.... 17 Troops have been killed so far this month... today is the 3rd of October 3 1/2 years later.....
